Founded by Jim Wyse in the 1990s in the Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, Canada, Burrowing Owl Winery takes its name from an endangered species native to the area. The winery, which owns approximately 140 acres of vineyards, is considered one of the most iconic in the country, thanks in part to its pioneering role in the region's wine industry. Athene is a nearly equal blend of Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon from the estate A8 block located on the Black Sage Bench
