Radiant Rooster Canvas

The rooster as portrait subject gets watercolour treatment here that makes the most of the medium's natural qualities. The bird's head fills the composition in close-up, the vivid reds of the crest and wattles giving way to warm oranges and yellows in the feathers, colour splatters and fluid passages spreading outward against a clean white ground. The energy in the piece is genuine, the whole thing feeling both observed and entirely free in its execution.Kitchen prints for homes where animal art is held to the same standard as everything else on the walls.
