Fork in Colour Canvas

A fork. Centred, upright, entirely committed to its own presence. Abstract expressionism is interested in reduction and in the emotional charge that remains when you strip a subject back to its essentials, and this canvas applies that logic to the humblest of kitchen objects. The primary colour ground gives the composition its energy; the fork gives it its anchor. The result is the kind of painting you keep looking at longer than seems justified, then keep looking at anyway.Kitchen wall art for anyone who likes their art to earn its place rather than just fill it.
