It was founded in 2011 by Katevan Gersamia and Mamu Dolidze, a husband and wife duo who place a strong emphasis on quality over quantity and utilise a wide range of indigenous Georgian grapes in their work. The first vintage ever released by Lukasi was a Saperavi in 2013, which went on to win gold at the Georgian wine expo.
